RAIN & more Rain

Well this is a group that had seen plenty of rain over 4 days. we were camping and fishing in some of the worst and hardest rains I can remember. We still managed to get out fishing and did well with Walleye, Perch and some Pike. The Brook Trout fishing was slow as the water was high, but Dirk managed to catch a solid 22 incher with a 14 inch girth. Al and Dirk are Hardcore for sure as we travelled and fished in some "nasty" weather. We also saw 3 moose in 1 day. Thanks guys!!

First Group of 2012

Well I did my first group of the 2012 season and Dick and Jane are the regulars who came first this year. We caught 24 Brook Trout and had 5 over 22 inches. Jane caught the biggest one at 24.5 inches long with a 15 inch girth. This monster was 7lbs and it was released to grow some more. Way to go Jane!!! These people are hardcore for sure as they fish all day long and the weather is no issue. I will see you in August. Thank You.

Well my 2012 season is now started and I took my family out for the Brook Trout opener on the Nipigon system. We had a good day putting 23 fish in the boat. My Wife caught a 23.5 incher and my 8 year old son caught a 22 incher a new personal best for both of them. My daughter did well too as she caught her first Brookie a solid 20 incher, not bad for a 4 year old! I did good too getting a 22 incher with a 14 inch girth. Giddy up!!!!

last day and thank you

Well I took my boys out of school for the last day of the Brook Trout season and we only caught 1. We did manage to see a Bull Moose on the drive and later in the day while fishing we saw a Timber Wolf swimming in the lake. This was special as I had NEVER seen a Wolf swimming in a lake. My season was good with 273 Brook Trout in the boat with 42 over 22 inches and 4 25 inchers. I would like to thank all of my customers who fished with me this year and look forward to seeing some of you again in 2012. I also have some spots still open for next year if anyone wants a chance at a Trophy Brook Trout. More updates coming soon!!

Well I did my last group of the Brook Trout season and it was bizzare for sure. Dick and his Wife Jane came in the spring and we had snow one day!! They did catch some trophy trout and decided to come again this fall. We had severe weather for 2 days and we were chased by Water Spouts!!!!!! I had to blast wide open to stay ahead of the system and thankfully they went North. the fishing was tough as well, we only caught 7 fish. Well now you can tell the Lake Michigan boaters and fishermen that you know about water spouts!!! Dick and Jane are definatly Hardcore and I will see you next year for some more adventures.
